Just joined the board because my buddies and I do an annual roadtrip to a different campus (we are from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan...dont worry we wont burn any couches). This year we are going to the Boise State vs. TCU game and can't wait! Question is, we are arriving Friday morning nov. 11th. What are some must do/see activities in Boise that 6 guys in their late 20's and early 30's would enjoy? Also, for Saturday, where is the best spot to tailgate and for after the game, where are the best bars?

Most of the things to do in Boise are out doors types of activities, such as fishing, floating the Boise river, going to lucky peak reservoir. Not sure if you'd be into that. Good places to eat would be the Boise Fry Company (The ESPN crew really likes that place), Big Judds, Flying Pie Pizzeria. Hope you enjoy your stay in Boise and the TCU games should be unbelievable.

I couple of good bars that people in Boise seem to like would be Bittercreek Alehouse, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery or Mr. Lucky's. Just depends on what type of bar you are looking for.

to bronco: does mid-november weather permit such activities? If so, it sounds great. to storm: My buddies and I are all married, so we are not looking for a danceclub type bar, just a place for a good time, fun people to watch the evening kickoff games with.
Also, are there any game day traditions that are 'must do's'. We have been to many campuses and have taken part in a lot of cool traditions. Really looking forward to Boise State football

Mid November the temperatures will be in the 40's or 50's, so I guess some of that stuff wouldn't be the best.

Really looking forward to Boise State football Well those bars I listed are not dance clubs. There are plenty of sports bars if you are looking for that kind of place. The tailgating at Bronco Stadium is a big deal for a lot of Boise State fans. If you get the chance I'd say it is a must do. Boise has a population around 205,000 and a metro population of a little over 600,000. So there are quite a few things to do, but not as much as a big city if that is what you are used to. Good luck to you guys, I'm extremely excited for the TCU game myself and I'd love to travel the country going to football games myself.

I would say do the tailgating if you can, the parking lot will be completely filled with tailgaters for that game.

I think a trip up to Bogus Basin would be well worth it if you have the time. The view of the valley is tremendous. But check road conditions.
