I figured it was time to start this thread, even though the game is 46 days way, its never to early. Here is the National Champs break down of this game in case you missed it on the front page or would like to read it again. I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait for this game. I've been looking forward to it a week after BSU beat TCU. I think NationalChamps.net did a good job when it picked Boise State to win this game 27-20. I hope that it becomes reality. So let everyone know what your predictions are for this game. BSU 21 VT 14 www.nationalchamps.net/2010/edge/boise_vt/index.htm

BSU-42 VT-36
I have been keeping up with some of the National Media Threads and I get the distinct impressing the entire nation (football fan wise) is looking forward to this game, more than any other. I would bet that it will be one of the most watched regular season games of the year.
I think it's going will be close either way.

I think it's one of the most pivital games in Boise State History. This is one game that makes me nervous. It's the first game of the year and its at VT or might as well be. BSU had a hard time controlling Mathews at Fresno and VT has a few stud RB's. I think that is what will determine the game. Can we stop the running attack? We know we can move the ball, but can they. I think its going to be really exciting.

I don't know how worried I am about VT being Boise State's first game because it gives them plenty of time to prepare. Look at Oregon and TCU when this team had a long time to prepare. I think the Fresno game was an exception. TCU only rushed for 36 yards and Oregon only had 31. I just hope I'm not wrong.

Just judging from what is being said, their Offense should be really good but their Defense is questionable. Our Defense should be good but containing that offense might be a problem. Both defense could have problems containing the others offence. That is why i am predicting a high scoring game.

BSU- 35 VT- 17
I think our defense will step up to the plate like they did with Oregon and keep them under control.

I would guess that Boise State will try and make VT one dimensional, by trying to force them to throw. If you can stop their run game and from Taylor running all over us, I think that it will give us a good chance of winning this game.

I was just reading and so far there have only been 64,000 tickets sold to the Va. Tech home opener and FedEx field holds 90,000 so hopefully it sells out. There are still a couple of weeks, but it would be nice to have a sellout. If not, I guess the stadium won't be as loud.

It was announced today that Musburger, color commentator Kirk Herbstreit and sideline reporter Heather Cox are scheduled to call the Boise State-Virginia Tech game. I'm glad, because I think they are two of the best. Better than the ones who called the Oregon game last year.

I'm glad Musburger is calling the game and Herbstriet. Even though Herbstriet has dogged BSU in the past I still like is commentary.

Hopefully BSU will play really well and it might shut Herbstriet up a little when it comes to the negativity towards BSU. I would have to agree with Bronco and blueandorange they do call the games pretty good, much better than listing to what they ate in Fresno three weeks ago or what they did last summer and stuff like that.

I just thought I'd throw this out there for everyone to see. Its from NationalChamps.com. It is the match of BSU's defense, against VT's offense. VT's offensive line is huge and there backs are big. Can't wait to see how our underrated D line does against a bruising run team like Virginia Tech. *BSU players weights in this diagram has changed. The weight shown next to each player is from last years weigh in.
