WoW! I thought you had to be mistaken about New Mex. only averaging 12 points a game so i went back and checked.

You were right, in fact you gave them a little. 11.77 to be exact. :-[

Boise State's defensive statistics and some are rather intersting:

BSU ranks
98th in tackles with 305
83rd in sacks with 13
9th with 13 interceptions
22nd in pass defense, allowing 176 yards agame
Tied for 11th with Florida in rush defense allowing just 97.9 yards a game
12th in Passing Efficiency Defense with a rating of 98.3
Tied for 5th in turnover margin

I find it interesting how we rank so low in tackles and sacks per game, but overall defense if very high. Interesting, but not that much of a surprise when you consider the offense is out on the field much longer than the opposing teams so there are less opportunities for the defense.

Another thing I think is interesting:

Remeber back in Z's day. When the score got out of hand and he was pull from the game he would go back and sit on the back of a bench and shoot the bull with his buddys. When Kellen gets pulled, he puts on a headset and helps direct traffic.

That is an interesting point about Zabransky, I have a hard time remember him on the side lines, but it is definitely true about Kellen. I guess there is a reason that Moore is better. Plus I think Kellen really wants to be a coach after his football is done. That kind of stuff appeals to him more so I guess than it did Zabransky.

Here is an interesting quote that I found from a Pat Hill interview. This is what he had to say about Boise State and Cincinnati.

"I thought Boise State was the better football team. They're both outstanding. That's just my opinion. We played Cincinnati at Cincinnati and probably gave them their best game of the year. But I strongly feel Boise is the best team we've played."

Moore Trivia;

Kellen Moore is 21-1 as a starting QB and only a Soph.

Do you think he can reach 48 in his career.

Anybody know what the record is???

I think David Greene of Georgia still holds that record with 42 wins.

4and18, you are right about 42 being a record.
Colt McCoy can break it with 2 more wins.

Here is another question for you.

Who is the big guy, about 60ish with almost white hair and mustache that is always around Coach Pete on the sidelines and always following him to and from the locker room. He was standing behind Coach Pete in the opening interview at the Fiesta Bowl?

bleedblue that is an interesting question, I would think that it might be his father or some one like that, but I'm no sure who else it might be.
